About the Doctor
Dr. Debi M. Huyssoon (pronounced Hi-soon) is a general dentist that truly values the patient-doctor relationship. She understands that patients have concerns and fears about dental treatment, so she makes every effort to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible and encourages patients to ask questions.
She attended the University of San Diego where she earned her B.A. in Biochemistry and received a B.S. in Biology at Portland State University. She received her dental degree (D.M.D.) from OHSU’s School of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, American General Dentists, Oregon Dental Association, and the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Huyssoon enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and running. She and her husband live in Portland with their 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter.
Karen – Office Manager
Our front office manager can answer any questions you may have about insurance benefits or coordination of benefits, payment plans, treatment needs or scheduling. Karen has worked in the dental field for nearly 18 years and is an excellent source of knowledge. Her smiling, friendly face is usually the first thing you will see when you walk into our inviting office.
Marta - Patient Coordinator
Marta is our newest staff member, and is usually the friendly voice you will hear when you call our office. Her job is to get patients the appointment times they most desire and make sure our new patients are taken care of. From knowing all the days the schools are off, so kids don’t have to miss school, to making sure our patients get a thank you card. Marta is always willing to go the extra mile. We are proud to have her as our patient coodinator.
Jessica – Hygienist
Our hygienist is skilled in providing preventative dental cleanings and treatment of gum disease. We can assure you that at every dental cleaning Jessica will take the time to address any questions or concerns. She strives to make every visit a comfortable, pleasant experience. Our patients love seeing Jessica because she is so gentle and yet thorough.
Erin – Dental Assistant
Our dental assistant, Erin, is knowledgeable in all areas of the dental office. She assists Dr. Huyssoon during dental procedures and is here to make sure you, the patient, are as relaxed as possible. She can answer many of your dental questions. She loves working on children and is extraordinarily warm and helpful to our patients. If you are ever scared Erin will offer to hold your hand, give you a comfy blanket, neck pillow or radio to listen to. Erin truly cares about our patients needs while in the dental chair.
